This piece of art was inspired by a photograph of a real sunset. I chose to paint it because of its beautiful simplicity, the contrast of colors and the calming magic of nature that feels so free. In Afghanistan, I never had the chance to witness a view like this in person, so painting it became my way of experiencing it. It helped me appreciate the beauty of nature even more.

After finishing this artwork, I felt a powerful message: our bright, beautiful days may come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the ending isn’t just as meaningful. Sadness can be just as beautiful as happiness, and crying can matter as much as smiling. That was my feeling, and my personal lesson. Maybe it was a small step toward understanding the process of life. You might feel something entirely different, depending on your own experience.
